'Days with Sir Roger De Coverley' is an essay by the duo Richard Steele and Joseph Addison. It gives a fictional account of visiting an English gentleman at his country estate and the quirky characters who live and work there. The narrator spends time with Sir Roger, touring his expansive country seat and listens to him as he recounts his life's experiences.
