The tales in the Grey Fairy Book are derived from many countries—Lithuania, various parts of Africa, Germany, France, Greece, and other regions of the world. They have been translated and adapted by various women and compiled by Andrew Lang and his wife Leonora Blanche Alleyne. Featured fairy tales and myth to be found inside this book include the following: 'The Goat-faced Girl', 'The White Wolf', 'The Dog and the Sparrow', and 'The Sunchild'.
