"Missy: A Novel" by Miriam Coles Harris follows Missy, the titular character Missy as she navigates society in the 19th century. Harris was a prolific writer who preferred to remain out of the spotlight, though she let her personality and her thoughts come through in her words. Her books are all that remain of her legacy, Missy included. Thus, it is fortunate that preservation efforts have managed to keep her books available for the public to read for many years to come.
