Narrative of a Journey to the Summit of Mont Blanc by William Howard is a travel book, giving an account of the journey to Mont Blanc written a few days after its execution. It has a fascinating history of creation. The report was written to please the companions and friends of the author wishing to know the details of the journey. Yet, some of his friends published the paper notes in the Analectic Magazine for May 1820. The story got so popular among readers that the author republished it separately.
