"Second Treatise of Government" is a part of "Two Treatises of Government," a work of political philosophy published anonymously in 1689 by John Locke. While the first part criticizes the current political situation, in the "Second Treatise of Government," Locke outlines his ideas for a more civilized society based on natural rights and contract theory.
